Circuits

A site-specific installation by Experimental Jetset at Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, running from July 11 to December 14, 2025.

Created specifically for the staircase at Stedelijk Museum, the installation is part of ‘Lost Formats Preservation Society’, the ongoing research project that Experimental Jetset has undertaken since 1999, and which was first published in issue 57 of Emigre magazine (Winter 2000/2001) – of which a copy is in the museum's permanent collection.

The current installation consists of two ‘tracks’ (or ‘circuits’): a series of painted formats, placed inside the rosettes of the staircase; and a series of abstract ‘title cards’, mounted on the walls underneath.
